5 Best French metal bands

5 Best French heavy metal bands

Few people know that there was new wave of french heavy metal such as there was new wave of british heavy metal in the eighties . This wave died out very fast ?. But was quite amazing and inovative . So many french metal bands came out in such a short peiod that .

It was more numerous than all the french metal bands that came ou since then . The songs, songwriting was closely up to par with British and American metal bands Let us find out the best franch heavy metal bands

Honourable mention

Hbomb, ADX, Titan, Killers, Nightmare, Venin, Demon eyes,

1 Best french heavy metal band Sortilege

This is the favourite french metal band of Death's singer He says Sortilege larme de heros is his favourite album in the world . And this band is quite powerful. Sortilege's singer Zouille could be seen as one of the best heavy metal singer in the world . Up there with Rob Halford, Ronnie Dio and David Coverdale

The songs are excellent and when we take about a very good french metal band , or any band . The songs need to be excellent, the band needs to be original, the musicians need to be superb and the overall team work make it a very special band . Sortilege fits all those slots.

Sortilege came out with two albums, i do not see any bad song on those albums. In the eighties there was much more power, energy and love for what musicians were doing than today . The songs from the french metal band sortilege were quite dramatic, songs that talked about a men ready to die in war to win a pretty woman's heart .

A magician who sends spells to someone, a mejestic king, the dragon of the valley . Listening to french metal band Sortilege we are transported into the realm of beauty and love and war land . Far away from the confusion of the world today . Best french metal band sortilege

2 Best french heavy metal band Satan Jockers

This second french metal band very close to my heart . Satan Jockers best french heavy metal band . They came out wth three albums in the eighties and Renaud Hantson has reformed Satan jockers with new musicians . Also in these three first albums all was good and excellent .

Best french metal band Satan jockers the particularity of satan jockers was the musicianship was very high, the song writing excellent, the team work the magic as i call it was also there . When you add these thr e things together you have a very unique band that makes history .

In the case of those bands they could not make history .

As after a few albums the record companies all got in accord that they would all stop putting money on french metal bands . Since then few good french metal bands have come out . We can mention Dagoba, Gojira and Ultra vomit

Satan jockers had two singers. They wanted to reproduce the sounds of Deep purple in the David Covedale and Glen Hugues era . What is special about satan jockers is that they mixed french variety with heavy metal . The result was excellent .

Songs like par habitude, pas freqentable, are variety oriented

Songs like fils du metal are pure metal I i counsel to listne to forcees malefiques i see it as one of the bet metal instrumental ever up there with Phantom of the opera Iron maiden

3 Best french heavy metal band Warning

Warning is a very dear french metal band . What i regret with Warning is that some songs were very good such as Petit peuple and rock city, tel que tu l'imaginais . The msicians were real rockers and metalheads .They were hung ho into success and heavy metal .

Warning is one of the french metal band that gave the most energy and power. Satan jokers guitar player Stephane Bonneau came out og warning to play with satan jockers. What i lament is that some songs were not to good . The french metal band Warning live was one of the best live french metal bands ever .

4 Best french heavy metal band Trust

The most famous french metal band . Sadly most people only know the song antisocial . Some of my favourite albums are albums that i can sing from the opening note to the last end of the last song . These are very powerful memorable albums . Such as Piece of mind Iron maiden , Appetite for destruction guns and roses .

The first few trust albums are such it is like a wave a powerful songs one after the other . French metal band trust . It was said that trust opened for iron maiden in England and they stole the show every night . Thus says Bernie Bonvoisin the singer . Trust has this excellent intelligent guitar player Nono .

A band can be made by the guitar player .Nono's riffs were pwerful and on the spot he knwe how much to solo and when to play things . Comparing to guitar players that overplay and drown a band into oblivion . Best French metal band Trust, the songs were straightt to the point , no epic songs, but very good straight forward rock and roll music .

5 Best french heavy metal band Blaspheme

Blaspheme was mt favourite of all when i was growing up. Looking back i prefer Sortilege or Satan jockers today . Blaspheme was a solid heavy metal band . As trust was more ac dc kind of band . Satan jockers player also some french variety music .

Blaspheme was all heavy metal . Very powerful rhythm section, excellent high pitched singer . Excelent solos . Blaspheme is as good as excellent world renowed heavy metal bands . I lament thay they sang in french as most english speaking people do not buy non english albums .

And french metal bands downfall was very likely due to the fact that in france there are few metalheads, and thus it is like selling Ferrari in a poor country . It is not going to work . But i was especially blessed to have lived those years . I even went to the france festival . Brand new metalhead . I saw al those bands live right before the scene disapeared .

If you liked this post why not listen , like suscribe to SONG OF LOVE METAL
