There are so many types of metal music that we cannot name them all in one article . We will name five types of metal music . Heavy metal music has so many different types of metal music it is amazing . In fact few music genres can boast this incredible diversity .

Types of rock music are also included as heavy metal and rock are the same thing . Heavy metal are just types of metal music which are heavier . But heavy metal music is still rock

1 Types of metal music Glam metal

This is one of the most famous of the different types of metal music. Not mainstream now but glam was guhe in the 80s metal scene . Many bands really made it big like guns and roses or poison, motley crue, cinderella . Their sound for most of those bands was not fake . A lot of people judged them by their looks and they assumed that their sound would be as sweet as their looks.

Some of these bands were really metal . One of the most famous types of rock music is glam . Early motley crue was really powerful and heavy metal . They were more like Judas priest or Iron maiden . Then they mellowed and comercialised their sound . Of the different types of metal music glam is one of my favourite . Most of those gmal bands were influenced by Kiss or Alice Cooper .

2 Types of metal music Power metal

This is of the types of metal music surely the most famous type now . Bands like Helloween and Dragon force . Iron maiden and Judas priest are power metal yey they are 80s metal. This of the different types of metal music gives an amazing vibe with powerful guitar riffs and time changes . Of the tpes of rock music power metal is one of the most powerful and melodic.

Compared to thrash metal which is not very melodic. Power metal remains melodic yet powerful . I really like this of the types of metal music as i believe music should remain melodic . Metallica were more thrash yet they remained melodic. But many parts of metallica songs are not melodic . And metallica is faster this is why tyey are thrash metal .

3 Types of metal music Thrash metal

Who are the big four in thrash metal ? Metallica Megadeth Slayer Anthrax. This is one of the fastest types of metal music. Very fast riffs and guitar licks, thundering drums and poiding bass sound . Thrash metal has amazing bands and sound .

And it did change the world when Metallica came out with their first album and Megadeth did the same . When Dave Mustaine Megadeth frontmen was fired from Metallica then he started his band which has given us some of thrash metal best music ever . Incredible guitar players from Kiko Loureiro to Chris Poland. Marty Friedman among others

4 Types of metal music 80 s metal

8às metal the time when metal ruled the world . Of the types of metal music 80s metal is my favourite . Glam metal coincides with 80s metal . But 8às metal was not glam only this is why 8às metal encompases many types of metal music which were so innovative, amazing and fun . We have lost a lot of that fun in the music infustry .

Even heavy metal today is not that innovative nor great . The growls are not that impressive and fun to listen to . Of the types of rock music this is it 8à s metal had very famous bands . Like Bon jovi runaway and Def Leppard hysteris album really made it big ?

Guns and roses appetite for destruction was super massive . So many other bands the 80s metal types of metal music . Bands like Leather wolf, Odin, Omen, Stryper, Twisted sister . This era was a dream come true and might never come back again .

5 Types of metal music Fm rock

This fm rock of the different types of metal music was more commercial , mor eeasy listneing . Bands like Bon jovi, foreigner, damn yankees. These were easier to understand for the mainstream public . As these bands in this of the types of metal music were not playing such powerful guitar distortion . They were not fast or unmelodic.

This type of rock music wass more geared to be famous and sell albums . This is not my favourite of different types of metal mssic . Byt i really enjoy some of those songs . Of bands like Kansas with dust in the wind or Boston with the song Amanda Of def leppard with Amanda .
